Swiss archaeologists and a Greek goddess

In Greece, Swiss archaeologists have identified a vast sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Artemis. This discovery, at Amarynthos on the island of Euboea, reveals many secrets about the cult and role of the goddess of the hunt in ancient Greece. Matthias Wirz went to the site and met Professor Sylvian Fachard, director of the Swiss School of Archaeology in Greece, and the teams excavating the site.
